Global Participant Program

About the Global Participant Program

In April 2023, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square launched a new program involving global choir participants from around the world. In the past, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square has often been referred to as “America’s choir.” However, despite being based in the United States, the Choir has a global reach. To reflect the worldwide mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the global participant program allows for qualified Latter-day Saints from selected areas of the Church to sing with the Choir as global participants during general conference every April and October. Currently, individual singers are recommended by their Area Presidencies and are then invited to audition.

All the global participants are all faithful and qualified Latter-day Saints, they come from different parts of the world, speak different languages, and have different life circumstances. But they all share a passion for music and a desire to share it with others.
